Work

What the record actually shows.

In a legacy ERP landscape stuck in years of daily incidents — with top-tier SQL expertise already in the room — Ivan committed to solve it or step aside. Lean Six Sigma root-cause analysis surfaced five systemic blockers, including memory contention between Power BI reporting and production SQL that multiple specialists had missed. Isolating the reporting load onto a separate server was the turning point. Resolution time fell below two hours. The team shifted from reactive firefighting to proactive delivery, with more story points and a better experience for the people using the system. The Black Belt lead recognized the work externally.

The 3S method

From firefighting to flow.

Regardless of what we discover, we understand and truly believe that everyone did the best job they could, given what they knew at the time, their skills and abilities, the resources available, and the situation at hand.

The retrospective prime directive, as he uses it.

From firefighting to flow. A team that can see the work, finish it, and stop living in the incident queue.
